Today is Veteran’s Day.
To our veterans – you’ve sacrificed time, family, friends, and life experiences. You’ve put your life on hold to serve our country.
Few have chosen to make this sacrifice, and you deserve to be recognized for it.
Thank you.
We have quite a few Veterans here at the Forge and we’d like to take a moment to highlight one Jeremy Fennema! Jeremy served in the US Army for 8 years as a multi-disciplinary counterintelligence agent. In his spare time loves making things with electronics, 3D printing, laser cutting, the ShopBot, and the wood shop here at the Forge.
Here at the Forge we offer Veteran discounts on our monthly memberships as a Thank You. More information can be found here.
Some veterans don’t like to be noticed or recognized, so these ideas are quiet and not-so-showy ways to honor your loved ones.
3 Ways to Thank a Veteran
Write a Note: If you know a veteran, take a moment to write them a note, text, or email.
Share a Meal: Who doesn’t like free food and not having to cook dinner? Invite your veteran over for a meal and listen to their stories.
Donate: We say we’re thankful for our veterans, but sometimes the phrase “Thank you for your service” becomes empty. Don’t let it become a meaningless phrase. Donate to your veterans – whether it’s your money or your time.
