The Facilities and Operations Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and their primary responsibility is to direct and coordinate all activities of Forge Greensboro’s shops and facilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Direct and coordinate activities of Forge shops, serving as project manager and/or lead technician.
- Maintain consistent communication with Shop Leads and Mentors regarding maintenance tasks and repairs.
- Monitor safety procedures and performance of members, volunteers, and staff.
- Provide basic information to guests, visitors, or clients and conduct tours of the facility.
- Conduct training programs included onboarding for new members.
- Manage member storage and private maker studio spaces.
- Maintain facility plans and facilitate layout changes as needed.
- Setting up and breaking down supplies, materials, and equipment for adult education classes.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must submit to a background check.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, or crawl to maintain equipment and facility.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the facility.
Job Classification: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Pay: $15-$20 per hour; commensurate with experience
