The Education Coordinator reports to the Director of Education and Member Engagement and their primary responsibility is co-facilitating making activities and STEM education sessions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Co-facilitating all youth education pursuits current and future, including working with skilled maker mentors to assemble education teams.
- Co-facilitating adult experiences as needed.
- Co-facilitating upcoming Mobile Innovation Lab projects including:
- Setting up the Mobile Innovation Lab at each site.
- Safely and responsibly driving the Mobile Innovation Lab to and from partner schools across Guilford County.
- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies needed for educational programming.
- Maintain education related social media marketing, including email newsletters.
- Facilitate information/orientation sessions and facility tours.

- Maker experience in product design, woodworking, CNC, etc. is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle; willingness to travel regionally and drive a non-CDL shortened school bus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must submit to a background check.
Job Classification: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Pay: $15-$20 per hour; commensurate with experience
