The Education Coordinator reports to the Programs Director and their primary responsibility is facilitating and growing adult and youth education. The Education Coordinator will work directly with the Programs Director to set goals and metrics to allow assessment and feedback on a routine basis.
Responsibilities Include:

Growing the Forge’s existing curriculum of classes by leveraging existing resources and discovering new opportunities.

Facilitate all youth education pursuits current and future, including working with skilled maker mentors to assemble education teams.

Facilitate all aspects of adult learning at the Forge, including but not limited to managing instructor schedules, maintaining the class schedule by utilizing CRM/Event facilitation software, staying current with making trends to develop dynamic classes and curriculum, develop foundational knowledge of equipment and techniques to effectively assist instructors in class development.

Setup and update as needed class syllabi, orientations, and cultural development for member access and organizational records.

Maintain class revenue reporting to chart trends, revenue, goals, and instructor payment.

Coordinate and facilitate upcoming mobile makerspace projects.
Administrative support and other duties as assigned. Across all areas, contribute to, pilot, provide feedback, and closely collaborate across all areas of recruitment, retention, member and donor engagement, and program design.
This is a new position for the organization and there will be an open, two-sided feedback loop to ensure the success of the candidate as well as maximize effectiveness of the whole team. Responsibilities may fluctuate depending on the organization’s needs as well as those of the candidate.

Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle; willingness to travel regionally and drive a non-CDL shortened school bus

Bachelor’s degree + 2-3 years of work experience. Equivalent experience considered

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Must have excellent computer proficiency, Google Suite experience is preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age
